When the story
is the strategy.
CASE STUDY: How Tidehouse helped Senior Helpers build a national brand campaign rooted in real life — and designed to scale across 400+ franchise locations.

Why Senior Helpers Needed a Different Kind of Campaign
Senior Helpers is a nationally recognized home care franchise with approximately 400 locations across the country. They deliver in-home senior assistance services tailored to the needs of each client and their family. Yet, in an increasingly crowded market, recognition alone wasn’t enough.
The challenge wasn’t visibility. It was connection. Senior Helpers needed marketing that reflected the real experiences, relationships, and emotions at the center of home care decisions — and a strategy that could scale that story consistently across a nationwide franchise system.

How We Helped Them Build Alignment Before Building the Campaign
Rather than handing over a strategy deck, Tidehouse brought everyone into the room. We facilitated an in-person working session at Senior Helpers headquarters to align around a shared direction before a single asset was made.
The result was a clear, actionable roadmap for turning national strategy into locally relevant storytelling.
From there, Tidehouse developed:

Stories Built to Resonate. Campaigns Built to Scale.
The campaign centered around two primary messages and audiences: Reassuring seniors that home care wasn’t an end, but a new beginning; and giving family caregivers comfort knowing Senior Helpers would be an extension of their own efforts. Produced in-house by the Tidehouse team, each was crafted to reflect the emotional realities surrounding aging, caregiving, independence, and family connection — drawn from the kinds of real experiences that bring people to Senior Helpers in the first place.
From there, the creative expanded into a broader asset mix: website experiences, social, Connected TV, digital advertising, and franchise-level marketing — all designed to stay emotionally resonant while adapting across formats and markets.
DAD JOKES: A warm, relationship-driven story about the everyday humor and connection shared between a father and son. It’s a simple premise with a powerful message: home care doesn’t disrupt family life; it makes more of it possible.
TODAY’S THE DAY: An uplifting story for seniors who want support without giving up their independence, routine, or sense of self. Confidence, dignity, autonomy — the campaign puts those at the center, not the care.
